Named after the Greek goddess Selene, this crystal is great for any work that involves the moon. This is a beautiful crystal that catches the light giving a beautiful glow, made even better when stood on a light source.
Selenite is a calming stone that instils deep peace, this makes it excellent for meditation and spiritual work. It is a powerful disperser and stabiliser of erratic emotions. It brings clarity of mind and opens the crown chakra.
This is the perfect crystal for a child who has problems sleeping. Place it in their bedroom (preferably under the bed but anywhere in the room works) and it will help sooth them to sleep and keep away nightmares.
Selenite does not retain negative energy and therefore never needs to be cleansed, it also cleanses the energy of things around it.
